Triangle Foundation has two major program areas through which we aspire to make constant change so our state reflects the equality we deserve:
Our other program areas work to broaden our reach to our various communities.
Triangle Foundation was birthed as an anti-violence organization and has grown
into a multi-faceted foundation that advocates for justice and unites our
community. We are a human rights organization for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied (LGBT) communities and our programming reflects the needs of our communities within Michigan. The amount of support we receive for the various programs within our Triangle
family is inspiring, but it is always important to remember where we
originated and the journey that followed. Members of our community are victimized because of traits inherent
in our nature.
As we reflect on these tragedies, the images and
emotions within us strike an all too familiar chord. As a community, we cannot allow ourselves to be disempowered by
acts of ignorance and hate. Instead we must live our lives advocating for the
justice that we believe should exist and for the freedoms that we deserve from
birth. It is with this mindset that Triangle works everyday to serve our loved ones touched by hate, to change prejudicial policies that prevent equality, and to increase the visibility of LGBT people around the state so we are no longer strangers to any region or any person.
