Joshua Moore joined Trianlge Foundation as the Victim Advocate in September 2009.
His law degree is from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During his time at U of D, Josh was the first two-term President of the Student Bar Association and the first openly gay President. While in law school, Josh served in the misdemeanor criminal clinic, immigration law clinic, and interned at the Legal Aid and Defenders Association. He also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Detroit Mercy. He received his Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from Oakland Community College.
Atty. Moore is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Federal Bar Association,
the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives, and the
Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Josh has been featured in magazines and
books including the Detroit Legal News, ABA Journal, and in the book “The
Opportunity Maker.”
Josh gained his experience with victims as a social worker
specializing in youth empowerment & services, foster care, traumatic brain
injury, and services to those living with HIV/AIDS. After law school, Josh opened Detroit Legal
Services, PLLC, to help disadvantaged Detroiters and has dedicated himself to
legal issues related to those living with HIV/AIDS.
Josh credits his biggest accomplishment as being a father, who happens to be single,
to his 7 year-old son, Isaiah. He is a Detroit resident who has dedicated his
life to bringing knowledge to the disadvantaged.
