Make Michigan’s Schools Safe for Every Student – Support Matt’s Safe Schools Law!

Matt’s Safe Schools Law, House Bills 4091 and 4162, would require every school district in Michigan to enact and enforce a comprehensive anti-bullying policy. The bill passed the State House on March 28 during Safe Schools Lobby Day. Now we need to get the bill through the State Senate, and we need your help!

Why are there two bills?
Many bills and laws are drafted as two or more separate bills. This is sometimes because there are multiple areas in the law that are being changed or simply because several legislators were leading the effort for this change. That is the case for Matt ’s Safe Schools Law.
